Many teachers, as well as schools, are against having too much technology within their classrooms. There are many reasons for this. Time, money, and just the technology know-how. I can fully understand why schools would be hesitant to be adding too much technology to their classrooms. For some students, like myself, visual learning is the best way for them to be taught the lessons. In some ways, technology can be used to help them. Through projectors, computers in the classroom, and PRS clickers which we use at FSU to help the teachers see how well their students actually understand the material being taught. But on the other hand, the traditional method is more preferred. Since I am going to be a Math teacher, I would prefer less technology in my classroom, because I would rather teach my students how to do their problems with the traditional pencil, paper, and mind.
I can't really say I have learned too much from last time, since there has been some crazy stuff happening with class being cancelled and what not. But its no biggie, I can dig it. We have been doing practice tests for Word and Skill Checks, which aren't too difficult, but not as easy as one may think. Next week we do the Wiki project, and just the name alone makes it sound interesting. We'll see.
Well, its still a few weeks away, but Halloween is approaching!!! Last year was my first Halloween in Tallahassee and it was a lot of fun to say the least. My roommate Matt and I dressed up as french maids and went over to our buddies house for a party. It was pretty fun, but towards the end of the night we got in a scruffle with an asian male who looked identical to Michael Jackson in "Thriller", but he didn't think so I guess. This year my roommate Drew and I plan to go out as Steve and Dough Buotabie, the brothers from "Night at the Roxbury" a comedy movie. It should be a blast, I can't wait!

Halloween is pretty much amazing...second only to Jesus' Birth- and perhaps Martin Luther King Day.
The practice tests take me a while, and are much trickier than they seem at first.
I know what yaeli is saying about the practice tests. They are very hard.
