The subject I would like to talk about pertaining to chapter 4 has got to be one of the biggest technological advancements of this century is that of storage devices. Yes, of course there are the computers and harddrives that store data for the entire nation and so on, but I think the most incredible devices are those of cd's, tapes, ipods and all other devices used for storage of things such as music or data. It is an industry that has caused much controversy, such as illegally downloading music, but has turned its way into billions of dollars for U.S. companies such as Apple and Microsoft. The use of these devices, not only for music and entertainment, also helps to save data from one unit to the next in burning it onto a disc. I believe this is one of the greatest technological advance's of this century.
Since last time, we haven't done too much, we continued to work with Microsoft Word. There are a lot of ways I will be able to use word when I become a teacher. I will be able to make handouts for my students, I can use it to make tests or quizzes, and I can also use it to make plays for my football team, since I plan on being a football coach as well as a teacher. It is very convenient to be handy in Word. Instead of just winging it like many people do, just being able to have the knowledge of how to run such a complex program is very helpful indeed.
Well, I mentioned it in the previous paragraph, but yes I would like to be a Math teacher and a high school football coach. Since I was young I have been enthralled with the game of football. I have played since I was just 6 years old all through high school, and have began my stint as a football coach. This past spring I helped my former high school in spring football. I coached the linebackers for both varsity and junior varsity, and my old coach said I will one day be a good coach. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. I knew being out on the field with those kids that that was where I wanted to be after school. I have a love for the game and those kids.
