Since the internet has come about as the prime source to store data and access nearly everything, there have been people called "hackers" who hack into security systems and implant viruses that can do a lot of damage to unseen things. Viruses can shut down computer systems ranging from your own home computer to the nations government system. Just recently I watched the new Die Hard movie with Bruce Willis. It explains how hackers shut down the nations power and tried to take over the country via the use of hacking into the system and setting up viruses to affect all the data in the countries computer systems. It is not something taking lightly, and there are many things you can do to protect your own home computer by purchasing virus protection software. Also, Mac computers are not able to get these viruses because all known viruses are set up to run through the Microsoft Windows programs, not Apple programs.

Well, since the last post, we have started to learn about Microsoft Powerpoint. It is a pretty difficult program to fully understand, like I figured it would be. I remember back in middle school when my teachers used to use power point presentations for notes and stuff, but I don't remember it being THAT difficult as it is to me now. I mean, I know the basics and what not, but doing tables and action buttons and crazy slide transitioning is a little above my head. But powerpoint is definately a great program to use for your students. It can basically be used for any class, any material, and is fun to use too.

Well, the semester is half-over, and my classes are still pretty tough. My one class, Biology, isn't too bad, but I'm still having trouble in my music class with Mr. Wright. The problem is that there are only three tests and thats IT for your grades. I have been struggling, but I hope to bring my grade up by the end of the semester. As far as math goes, well I'm doing a little better than I thought. It is one of those classes where you come out of an exam thinking there is no way you did better than a 50% and you end up with a 75%. Other than that everything is DEC (short for decent, but much more meaningful).

Math classes are always that way aren't they? In other classes the grades are more clear cut.

I took biology and it was not life changing. Actually it was pretty boring.
